Scholarships

Bahawalpur Medical & Dental College has a number of scholarships available to students based on academic merit, or humanitarian reasons. Scholarships may be provided for partial or full tuition fees and the awarding of such scholarships is at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee and/or College Principal.

Scholarships Sources

Academic Merit Scholarship

There are 4 types of Academic Merit Scholarships awarded to the student with the highest weighted average given below:

Scholarship 1 – 25% tuition re-imbursement granted to a student at the time of admission if student secure more than 85% marks in F.Sc. Pre-Medical. (Supplementary examination result or students detained from any other course will not be considered)

Scholarship 2 – 20% tuition re-imbursement granted to a student at the time of admission if student secure 80% to 85% marks in F.Sc. Pre-Medical. (Supplementary examination result or students detained from any other course will not be considered).

Scholarship 3 – 25% tuition re-imbursement granted to a student on securing more than 85% marks in any annual professional examination of DPT.

Scholarship 4 – 20% tuition re-imbursement granted to a student on securing 80% to 85% marks in any annual professional examination of DPT.

Humanitarian Scholarship (BELI TRUST)

The Humanitarian scholarship comprises of financial support in the form of a subsidy of tuition fees (partial or full) for one academic year.

  1. Award of Humanitarian scholarship is at the discretion of the College/BELI Trust. The number and value of the scholarships, if any, will be determined by the BELI Trust Scholarship Committee.
  2. Humanitarian scholarships are approved by Dean /CEO of the College and consultation with Principal and the Scholarship Committee.
  3. The combined total annual value of such scholarships is capped at a maximum amount allocated by the College’s management/BELI Trust Committee at its annual budget cycle.

Requirements

  • Students are only eligible to win one scholarship per year (Special Consideration can be given to students who qualifies both Merit & Humanitarian Scholarships).
  • Students must be enrolled with college and will not be migrated to other college once received any scholarship.
  • The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to make any change in criteria of scholarship policy.
  • Scholarships are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another student.
