Medical humanities is an interdisciplinary field of medicine which includes the humanities (Philosophy, ethics, history, comparative literature and religion), Social science(Psychology, sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, health geography) and the arts( literature, theater, film,and visual arts and their application to medical education and practice. The core strengths of the medical humanities are the imaginative nonconformist qualities and practic Medical humanities that are mainly concerned with training medical practitioners. This contrasts with health humanities which more broadly link health and social care disciplines with the arts and humanities.BMDC is unique to conduct these sessions at BIRS to broaden the vision of learning not only to become a good health professional but to become a good human being.
